They gang up in VfD on people they/he - sorry - seems to have personal grudges against, and to defend his own articles from others - even if that means deleting them if he can't keep his POV intact, as in Roger Moss. I believe his socks are Spotteddogsdotorg, ConeyCyclone, Melvis, ShureMicGuy, Toasthaven, Tobyvonmeistersinger, and Hohokus. There was a lull in activity for about a week, but the puppets have started up again, I see. You might want to look at my puppet history - 1875:. It just seems to me like someone spends to much time in make-believe land, to write articles about fictional events, people, etc. Now, if it becomes part of "Americana" or something that becomes a common in Classic Liturate, I could see it. Like Robin Hood, or Zoro, King Arthur, The Lone Ranger, these I could accept, but one election from a TV show. A show like the 505:, it appears that it was created by several different anonymous IPs. The list doesn't actually say "page created" for certain edits, however; I'm just guessing from the dates of edits compared to the dates of the four deletions. It appears that the only signed-in accounts were deleting or trimming the page, however. Hope this helps. - 2457:
Not that this is anything you don't already suspect, but I thought I'd mention my findings to you as I'm not sure what to do with them. I don't go hunting for sock puppets, but I sort of fell into this on Roger Moss. I believe that the user originally known as 209(can't remember his last numbers at

Wing Commander was a follow on to Privateer??? I recollect trying to get a copy about the time computer games went all windows or MAC compatible. We still play Privateer on one of our archaic 'boxes' - I keep OS capability and compatibility back (a dozen years) to Windows 3.1 for professional needs.

As for next month, I don't know if I will nominate myself again. I might not think about it until somebody else puts me up there on RFA at a later date. Eventually, I see myself as an admin, especially as the number of articles and users continues to grow. Thanks again and good luck at improving this

You reverted my external link, without perusing the site properly (the revert happened within 3 minutes of my adding it). The website in question does include the full 1875 factory drawings of a Baldwin 4-4-0, certainly of interest to anyone studying the subject. May I suggest you take a closer look

I can't tell from the movie - we aquired that sometime last winter at Walmart's Bargain Bin. Was actually a pretty good story - action, adventure, tense interpersonal relationships, predjudice, religious falderall, and a Love Story (2 - one tragic) around the various M/FM protagonists. I think I'll

Thanks for the note. I think that this user is probably just an overzealous person with some bitter former link to the group Jehovah's Witnesses. Furthermore, I think what you told me is the right way to handle the situation. I spoke up before because I figured you were in the right, and I'll try to

Thanks. I've asked him, too (just like five others). But really, RFA is a popularity contest and most people that oppose do so for no particular good reason (e.g. "he's an inclusionist" or "he's disagreed with me in the past"). Except, of course, when the nominee is a too inexperienced user. I wish

When GRider nominated a dozen Tolkien-related articles, a couple of Tolkien fans got angry and started the first RFC (this also caused a VFD/PC, in which he didn't participate). Also roughly about this time, GRider started nominating random fiction-related articles, e.g. major characters from Harry

GRider started out fine. He was sifting through cat:Bio-stubs, recatting and clearing out the junk. At roughly the same time, I was sifting through special:Deadend pages, doing the same. Between the two of us we were unfortunately responsible for putting stress on VfD, but note that there was a lot

Thank you for your comments on my RFA. Although the voting period just ended with a 14-8-2 vote, I will admit once and for all that I used it more as an evaluation of myself. Being promoted would have been a plus. I was more interested in who voted, when they voted, who would change their votes and

Go read my reply. The fact that this is the first vote I've participated in (though you will note numerous other ones I have posted on) is not evidence that I won't go onto participate in many more. This may simply be the first. Nor can the "muppets" motives be known unless you ask. to do that

Around this point, GRider started notifying people of school articles on VfD, causing a flood of 'keep' votes. This method of vote-stacking was not appreciated by several people. Eventually he created his schoolwatch rather than repeatedly posting to 20+ talk pages. The 'neutral' schoolwatch was

Gradually, GRider's behavior became controversial, because he was marking VfD nominations as minor; usually starting the VfD pages as "what should be done here, discuss amongst yourselves" rather than giving a solid reason for deletion; and most importantly, not responding to his own talk page.

Yeah, I figured that discussion wouldn't last long. I've seen it somewhere else besides the village pump (I hadn't seen the link you gave) and I was looking for that when I saw the "new message" bar go across my screen...I think it was the talk page of an admin who does a lot of impersonator

Yeah, I think in such cases you can just go ahead and undelete. It seems like an honest mistake with respect to the GFDL (and based on the idea that the redir isn't really all that useful). An alternative would have been merging the edit histories, but that's a lot of work. Yours,

Looks like I edit conflicted with you and didn't notice. I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to the interface changes--there is a subtle difference but I can't put my finger on it; or possibly there was some kind of synchronization problem. Thanks for telling me about the VfD.

I happened upon the page, and found that you had listed it for deletion. The original content was patent-nonsense, but since it is a real concept I tried to create a real stub for it. Check it out; if you don't like, feel free to replace the speedy tag :-)

Another "thank you" for the information, I get the same feelings from Eyesopen due to the highly combative and confrontational nature of his posts and the caustic language he uses to purposely demean when we are just trying to write an accurate article. --

Since Wow often adds himself to the list after finishing a vandalism spree, I would say that the page is certainly not detering his actions. The page is not really necessary either since the socks could be kept track of by using a template like the one for

Hey there, Sjakkalle. You seem to have created some stir while taking this article from Speedy deletion to VfD. I don't mean it in a bad way, don't get me wrong. I would just like to suggest that next time you simply removed the tag. ^^' Cheers.

Oops, I should have put the message in English myself. After all, this is not Norwegian Knowledge. Writing in Norwegian was a way of emphasising my point. Still, it is good to see that I said more or less what I meant! Although I thought that

For whatever it's worth, any article taken off Speedy must go to VfD, unless the speedy tagging was done as vandalism. You done good. After all, if it's not in violation of the deletion policy, it's going to win a "keep" vote pretty easily.
1891:
Sock Puppets, where!? I am posting here because a friend of mine e-mailed me about this and I wanted to have a say, which as I understand is fine. I'm sure, since I've been told, that others have been asked to express their views too.
106:
Thanks! I've commented on the VfU (ironically, the discussion is over a dozen times longer than the original article). Anyway, yes, the school debate is entirely out of hand. I'm trying to work out a compromise with some others, though.
1617:
Hi Sjakkalle, this is overdue, but I want to thank you for your support vote on my RFA. Thanks to everyone who supported me, I am now an admin, and I have used my powers to further Knowledge. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
1463:
Yes, attack pages are quite plausibly a form of vandalism - however, this is not actually stated anywhere. Since pages such as "John Doe is a jerk" tend to be speedied, I believe the speedy criteria should be updated to reflect that.

908:
Also, a couple of GRider-clones appeared (G Rider, GRuder, stuff like that) that made random vandalizations and were quickly banned. It later turned out that these were not impersonators, but rather were accounts created by himself.
1141:
I don't think you should be too troubled by Grue's vote on my admin application, I think he only (jokingly) gave "extreme inclusionism" as a reason to support because he disagreed with the people using it as a reason to oppose.
650:
The reason as to why I was using test(1), is because for some reason the Infobox for movies keeps changing. One minute it's grey, next minute it's blue. Any idea on as to why it does this? Contact me on my talk page if you

So that means I can mark any page for deletion I want and no one is allowed to remove it? Imagine what vandalism someone can do if they mark every page with a vote for deletion! Please give me an answer on this.
