It housed several trade fairs, exhibitions and festivals at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1930, the government decided to reserve the Cinquantenaire for use as a leisure park. 718:, has been occupied by the Aviation Hall since 1972, when the Air and Space gallery was inaugurated.
