20: 72:, Edith Nebelong was the daughter of the court physician Carl Henrik Horn Nebelong (1844–1904) and Harriet Kiellerup (1858–1935). The eldest of three daughters, she was brought up in a well-to-do liberal home by an academic, liberally-minded father and a rather conservative mother.
