Balaramaiah. In the city, Gopi marries Balaramaiah's daughter, Vimala. However, complications arise when Bhavani Amma and Radha bring a pregnant Lakshmi to the city to confront Gopi. He denies responsibility and offers Lakshmi money instead. Later when Lakshmi's father attempts to arrange a marriage for her, Lakshmi refuses it and leaves her house. She ultimately seeks refuge with a nun and gives birth to a child. Amidst these challenges, Vimala runs away with her boyfriend, leaving Gopi's family in turmoil. In a desperate attempt to restore stability, Bhavani Amma sends Gopi to bring Lakshmi back into their lives.
