The Big Sulphur spring was the main one supplying the swimming pool, which was 30 by 200 feet (9.1 by 61.0 m) and 3 to 10 feet (0.91 to 3.05 m) deep. The pool had been made by damming the small ravine at the upper end of which several springs issue.
