269:"Beni Hammad Fort" is a crude and not quite accurate translation of Qal'a(t) Bani Hammad. "Fort" usually implies a smaller fortification, not a citadel or capital city. The vast majority of English-language reliable sources refer to this site by its full Arabic transliteration, "Qal'at Bani Hammad" or "Qal'a Bani Hammad", or more rarely "Qal'at of the Bani Hammad" or one of those variants with "Beni" or "Banu" instead of "Bani", and so on. "Al Qal'a of Beni Hammad" is used by UNESCO, but like other UNESCO names it's more of a title than a common name.
