The project had a completion date of 2023, has been approved by PennDOT and USDOT and is in the final design phase. Exits 303, 304, and 306 all do not provide full access. US 209 is a designated route, so all lanes had to be open during construction. US 209 interchange east of Marshalls Creek and old US 209 along Seven Bridges Road was renumbered to State Route 1019 (SR 1019). Upon opening, Seven Bridges Road was closed for two to three months for bridge replacement, while the junction with US 209 Business was reconstructed.
