The name of the photographer, Robert Spreng is imprinted on the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph. On the back of the photo, Dr. Joseph Chazanowitz has added a hand-written note, identifying a photograph with the First Zionist Congress, but apparently this is a mistake, and the photo was taken at the opening of the Second Zionist Congress. This photograph was donated to the library by Dr. Chazanowitz, early twentieth century.
