He expressed the conviction that nationalism wouldn’t succeed neither in destroying Yugoslavia nor in turning it into a centralized country. Most of the Yugoslav communist officials’ speeches agreed about the need for reforms and unity, and the plenum was therefore seen as successful by most Yugoslav media.
