Talk:Muhammad al-Baqir

727:... There are a lot other things in this article that clealy indicates, that it was written by a Shia, and the whole article is clearly Shia-POV. For example, the writer says "Alayhi el Salam" everytime mentioning Muhammad Al-Baqir, which would never be done by a Sunni-Muslim. Western scholars neither do praise the Imam's of Shia Islam. Here is another example, the article mentions that the bith of Muhammad al-Baqir was foretold by the Torah, no Sunni nor christian would make such a claim. The article also states that the islamic prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told Jabir bin Abdullah that he would meet Al-Baqir someday, and this claim is 349: 328: 31: 359: 263: 283: 82: 64: 22: 197: 187: 152: 92: 731:
recognized by any Sunni Muslim. The article does not mention this fact! The auther doesnt neither quote his source, which makes the claim a lot less trustable. In my humble opinion, a such article are not suitable for a non-religious enclopedia like Knowledge. By Hamid Al-Maghraby, Aarhus, Denmark

The article is still extremely POV. I just haven't had time to get to it. The encomiums to al-Baqir's scholarship are Shi'a-POV. Sunni Muslims just wouldn't say such things. I'd have to do some research, however, to figure out what other scholars were active at the same time.

not true. Dr. Nur al-Din `Itr, a reputable Sunni Hadith scholar, says of the twelve imams, "Each one of them was a pious, upright Muslim from the noble Prophetic Tree and many of them were also among the foremost people of knowledge in their time."

I'll assume you will improve the above template to fit your idea of "NPOV"..if not i'll revert this back in a few weeks, unless Shi'as themselves, too have a problem with it, wich i havent encountered so far.
686:
The article as it stands right now looks fairly neutral as far as I can tell. I see no bias in the infobox, unless you count the bit about martyrdom, which should be fine anyway as long as you cite source.
690:
I also deleted the "Sayings" section, since it seems redunant to have the exact same content here as is on the Wikiquote section. Feel free to add it back in if you feel it's really necessary.

Paradoxic, that template is too Twelver-POV to use. It as much as accuses Sunnis of killing all the Shi'a Imams, and it assumes that the Twelvers are the only Shi'a.
823: 736:
this article seems like a rather obvious copy/paste or paraphrasal of a shi'a source (and a very biased one at that). needs some radical restructuring... ---m7ia

How you make up all this jibberish is beyond me, Where did i indicate that Sunnites killed Shia Imams? Here is the same template you've been trying to delete.
