Wind power in Denmark

These sites offer higher wind speeds, in the range of roughly 8.5–9.0 m/s at 50 m height. For example, in the 1980s, a large number of small Danish companies were developing wind turbines to sell to California, and the Danish Risø laboratory provided test facilities and certification procedures.
