I can certainly see how a template could be useful, but it's not very user friendly on the page, as it is larger than the with of a normal wiki page at standard resolution - i'm not sure all the flags help in that respect. It also takes up a lot of space - maybe the country list could dock?

The flags seem quite unnecessary and just cause problems loading pages and looking at the template. I suggest that they should be removed. I'm fairly sure there's a policy somewhere about unnecessary use of national flags, but can't find it at a quick look.
