A poll in July 2021 of almost 1,000 Labour Party members resulted in 83% saying they believed the party should back proportional representation. As of 4 June 2022, 334 constituency Labour parties (CLPs) had passed policy in favour of proportional representation. This works out as a majority of the 648 total CLPs, of which it passed the majority mark in December 2021.
